MAP arts festival

The opening of a brand new arts space is always a reason for celebration. And thanks to developers Sunrise Berhad and LabDNA, MAP just opened its shiny new doors on the last weekend of March. Located in the equally shiny new Solaris Dutamas, the space is divided into the White Box (gallery space) and Black Box (experimental theatre). The team behind MAP are Alex Yong, Sze Ying Goh, and Erna Dyanty.

With tons of activities, ranging from exhibitions to talks and workshops, performances, poetry sessions, dance, music, media art and even comedy nights, there's truly something for everyone.

Art wheels! Al-Kesah/Once Upon a Time in Malaysia is curated by ARTERI

What a crowd! Is that a tiger? Oh wait, on that wall on the right... are those...

Yes, they are!

Pin the head on the cow. It's The Best Art Show in the Univers, what did you expect?

... some geniuses decided kl needed a new arts platform.

The gallery space is bright, white and all-around inviting. Inside the Black Box, it's like a cool hangout stage and space sure to give that extra oomph to any performance.

If you're around the area, be sure to drop by, it's well worth the trip (while parking is still free). ArtMalaysia Mag is very excited to see what MAP has in store! Catch the full report and our complete batch of photos of the festival in... well, you know where ; )
