Just back from a refreshing teatime chat with the ambitious Azaikmal Ahmad Rashid (b 1987). Currently pursuing a degree in Fine Arts, he still finds the time and initiative to actively participate in various competitions and shows. Unlike those his age who are more often than not found 'lepak'-ing around, idling their time in the ways of the world, Azaikmal instead chooses to focus his energy and passion in his art and upcoming career as a fine artist.
Although young, Azaikmal seems very aware of his position as a maturing Malay(sian) artist and the difficulties and responsibilities that come with it. We surely look forward to his future achievements!
